Day 1

Bagdogra Arrival | Bagdogra to Phuentsholing

• Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB), meet your trip representative and begin your scenic journey towards Phuentsholing – the gateway to Bhutan.
• Upon reaching Phuentsholing, experience the unique charm of crossing the Indo–Bhutan border on foot and step into the Land of Thunder Dragon.
• After arriving in Phuentsholing by evening, check-in into our comfy hotel and have some leisure. Later, explore the nearby local markets, try authentic Bhutanese delicacies or simply soak in the calm and charismatic surroundings of the town.
• Overnight stay in a hotel in Phuentsholing.

Day 2

Phuentsholing to Thimpu | Local Walks & Leisure

• Wake up early and post breakfast, check-out from our hotel and we’ll proceed towards the immigration office to complete the visa/permit formalities.
• Drive through scenic mountain roads and soak in the changing landscapes, peaceful valleys and fresh Himalayan air throughout the route. Enroute, pass by the beautiful Eight Dharma Kaya Stupas and witness the famous Chuzom Bridge – the confluence point where the Thimphhu River meets the Paro River.
• After arriving in Thimpu by evening, check-in into our comfy hotel and have some leisure. The ones with high energy levels, feel free to take a stroll around and explore market & must-try food options.
• Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Thimpu.

Day 3

Full-Day Dochula Pass & Punakha Local Exploration

• Wake up early and post breakfast, head out to explore Dochula and Punakha amidst the breathtaking landscape.
• Enroute Punakha, cross the famous Dochula Pass – a scenic mountain pass adorned with 108 miniature stupas and offering gorgeous Himalayan views.
• After arriving in Punakha, explore the Suspension Bridge and Punakha Dzong – the second oldest and one of the most iconic dzongs in Bhutan, which served as the country’s capital and seat of government until the mid-1950s.
• Post explorations, return back to Thimpu.
• Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Thimpu.

Day 4

Thimphu Local Exploration | Drive to Paro

• Wake up early and post breakfast, check-out from our hotel and head out to explore all major attractions in Thimphu.
• Explore the famous Buddha Statue (Buddha Dordenma) – the biggest statue of Lord Buddha, offering panoramic views of the valley. Further, visit Simply Bhutan Museum – tasting local Ara wine, trying Bhutanese Butter Tea and enjoying traditional games. Continue to National Memorial Chorten – a beautiful Tibetan-style stupa built in 1974, explore Royal Takin Preserve to witness Bhutan’s national animal in its natural surroundings. End your full-day exploratory tour at Bhutan Postal Museum where you can create your own personalized stamps.
• In the evening, drive from Thimpu to Paro, check-in into our comfy hotel and have some leisure.
• Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Paro.

Day 5

Full-Day Paro Local Exploration | Tiger Nest Monastery

• Wake up early and post breakfast, head out to explore Taktsang Tiger Nest Monastery.
• We’ll start our drive towards the base for the magnificent Tiger's Nest trek. Begin your hike towards Tiger Nest through the lush greens and breathtaking views of mountains. After reaching the beautiful Taktsang Monastery, enjoy the rich heritage of this Buddhist spiritual site and the jawdropping view it offers.
• Enjoy an easy to moderate hike to the monastery through scenic trails; for added comfort, horses are available for hire from the starting point.
• Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in Paro.

Day 6

Paro to Phuentsholing | Phuentsholing Arrival

• Wake up early and post breakfast, check-out from our hotel and drive from Paro to Phuentsholing.
• Drive to Chele La Pass – Bhutan’s highest motorable road at 13,000 ft, offering breathtaking Himalayan views including the sacred Mount Jomolhari, surrounded by rich flora and fauna. Later, drive towards Phuentsholing with scenic stopovers in between to capture the stunning landscapes of Bhutan.
• After arriving in Phuentsholing, check-in to your hotel and have some leisure.
• Overnight stay in a hotel in Phuentsholing.

Day 7

Depart for Bagdogra | Trip Ends

• Post a scrumptious breakfast, check-out from our hotel and we’ll proceed towards Bagdogra Airport. Proceed towards the immigration office to complete the exit formalities.
• Trip ends with lots of amazing memories and unforgettable experiences.

Things To Pack

  Good quality rucksack (preferably 40-60 liters) & a small day bag pack (for hikes/treks purpose) with rain-cover is recommended, easy to carry trolley bag.
• 
  Heavy down jacket, light fleece, long track/cargo pants, long/short sleeves T-shirts, body thermal wears (as per season), sun cap/hat, woolen cap & gloves (as per season), hoodie, raincoats/ponchos.
• 
  A pair of shoes (mainly trekking/sports) with good grip & waterproof, atleast 2 pair of socks & floaters/sandals/slippers.
• 
  Personal care items like cold cream & moisturiser, sunscreen (preferably SPF40), lip balm, sanitary pads, toothpaste & other toiletries, wet wipes, hand sanitizer, insect repellent, body spray.

  Personal medication (as prescribed by the doctor) & first-aid, sprain relief spray, glucose powder, tablets for headache, fever, diarrhea, motion sickness, dettol & cotton/bandages.
