Itinerary


Day 1

  • Reach Dehradun in the morning, and gather at the boarding point . Start your drive from Dehradun to Shimla which is around 220 km and take upto 12 hrs including adequate pauses for breakfast and lunch break in between. The road journey is scenic and situated in Garhwal region. The journey passes through Yamuna river in the middle, coniferous forest and bushes. Also, cross the Tons river after reaching Mori.
  • Major points are Yamuna Bridge, Danta, Mussoorie, Purola, and Mori.
  • After getting the permit from the forest at the check-post. After crossing the Tons river you will enter Rupin valley in Dhaula village. This alluring sight is a small village in a valley, it has a different culture and history. Check -into the camps and have dinner. Overnight stay in your camps.

Day 2

  • Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast checkout to Sewa village. The gradient of the trek is moderate. The distance of the trek is around 7 km and takes you about 5-6 hours in duration. Sewa village is situated at an elevation of 6,300 ft and the trail passes through forests of
  • Rhododendron and fields. After walking for a while you will reach the alluring village Sewa. Check -into the camps, freshen up and have lunch in our campsite/ homestays. Only BSNL networks are available here. You can take a tour of the village temple in the evening. Dinner and an overnight stay in our campsite/ homestays.

Day 3

  • Wake up early in the morning and have a mouth watering breakfast with an amazing view of the local village and valley. The gradient of the trek is moderate. The distance of the trek is around 7 km and takes you about 4-5 hours in duration to reach Jakha village. The route is scenic, and shutterbugs will love the journey towards pleasant villages. The area of Jakha village is under Shimla district and at an altitude of 6,888 ft. Initially, the walk is easy to moderate for the first 3 hours, later on the trail becomes steeper for the rest 1-2 hour. The trek p.asses through Hamlets and surely this going to make the journey more enjoyable. After crossing the apple orchards, a bridge and descent down towards the jungle, you can have your packed lunch. Continue your walk and you will reach a valley which is pleasant. After walking for one more hour, you will witness the first view of Jakha village. Check -into the camps/ homestay, freshen up and take rest in our campsite/ homestays.
  • Dinner and an overnight stay in our campsite/ homestays.

Day 4

  • Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast checkout to Buranskhadi. Don’t forget to carry your packed lunch provided by us. The gradient of the trek is moderate. The distance of the trek is around 7 km and takes you about 5-6 hours in duration to reach BuransKhadi.
  • The trail passes through maple and blue pine forest. Have your packed lunch on the way. After crossing a bridge you will reach the Buranskhadi, situated at an elevation of 10,692 feet. Check-into the camps/ homestay, freshen up and take rest in our campsite/ homestays.
  • Dinner and an overnight stay in our campsite/ homestays.

Day 5

  • Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast checkout to Dhandras Thach. Don’t forget to carry your packed lunch provided by us. The gradient of the trek is easy to moderate. The distance of the trek is around 5 km and takes you about 3-4 hours in duration to reach Dhandras Thach. Begin your trekking towards the first snow bridge over the Rupin river. After crossing the bridge, the trail becomes steeper and rough. Most of the walk is along with river Rupin. Walking for a while, you will witness the first look of scenic Rupin valley surrounded by majestic unnamed mountains and water streams.
  • The path becomes snowy from this point and after the snow adventure you will reach our campsite in Dhandras Thach.
  • Dhandras Thach is situated at an altitude of 11,680 feet. Check-into the campsite, freshen up and take rest.
  • Dinner and an overnight stay in our campsite.

Day 6

  • Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast checkout to Upper Waterfall. Don’t forget to carry your packed lunch provided by us. The gradient of the trek is easy. The distance of the trek is around 3.5 km and takes you about 3 hours in duration to reach Upper Waterfall. We consider this trek being the most scenic trek day as it contains a mesmerising view of the valleys and natural habitats. It’s easy to reach there, but the trail also passes through tricky patches, boulders and snowy patches. You can refill water on the way from small streams. Upper waterfall is situated at an altitude of 13,120 feet. Check-into the campsite, freshen up and take a rest. Dinner and an overnight stay in our campsite.

Day 7

  • Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast checkout to Rupin Pass and then Ronti Gad. Don’t forget to carry your packed lunch provided by us. The gradient of the trek is moderate to difficult. The distance of the trek is around 9 km and takes you about 10 hours in duration to cross Rupin Pass, and after that you will reach Ronti Gad.
  • It's an exciting and longest day of the trek. The trail is steep till it passes Rupin, and after that the trail becomes easier as you have to descend.
  • In case of heavy snow, your trek leader needs to rope you up. After reaching Rupin Pass, you will find the panoramic view of the Himalayas. Rupin Pass is situated at an altitude of 13,420 feet surrounded by hanging glaciers and snow-capped mountains. After crossing the Rupin pass, have your packed lunch, witness the view of Kinnaur Kailash ranges and descend to Ronti Gad through the alpine meadows. You will reach Ronti Gad by evening. Check-into the campsite, freshen up and take a rest. Dinner and an overnight stay in our campsite.

Day 8

  • Today is the last of the trek. Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast checkout to Sangla and then Shimla. Don’t forget to carry your packed lunch provided by us. The gradient of the trek is easy to moderate. The distance of the trek is around 13 km and takes you about 5-6 hours in duration to cross Sangla valley.. Your trek begins from Routi Gad village and passes through three different forests such as Oak, Deodar and Pine forest. After crossing the mentioned forest you will witness the first look of Sangla valley, which is located at an elevation of 8,800 feet. Reach Sangla valley in the afternoon, have your lunch and drive to Shimla, which takes around 9-10 hours in duration. Your trip ends here.

Inclusions


  • Accommodation: Stay is included from day 1 to Day 8 – you will be staying at hotel and camps on all days of trekking.
  • Transportation: Dehradun To Shimla
  • Meals: All Meals from day 1 dinner to day 8 breakfast are included. We provide simple nutritious vegetarian food on all days of the trek.
  • Camping Charges: All trekking permits and forest camping charges are included.
  • Support Staff: Trek Leader and Local Guide.
  • Trekking Equipment: you will be staying in high quality tents and sleeping bags in all the camps. We provide high altitude sleeping bags which can stand temperatures as low as - 10? c. We also provide ropes, micro spikes, gaiters etc. As required.
  • Safety Equipment: First aid, medical kit, oxygen cylinders, Stretchers etc. will be available at all campsites to deal with emergencies.

  • Any extra meals apart from the ones mentioned under inclusions.
  • Travel Insurance, items of personal nature like porterage, tips, laundry etc.
  • Any entry fees, extra expenses for optional activities or tickets, unless quoted in Inclusions.
  • Any other costing involved due to circumstances like natural calamity, weather conditions, riots, roadblocks, landslides or any other forced circumstances which are out of our control.
  • GST (5%) is applicable extra.
  • Anything which is not mentioned in the above inclusions.
