Spiti in Winter

Spiti in winter transforms into a breathtaking snow-covered wonderland, offering a unique and challenging experience for adventurers. Temperatures plummet to sub-zero levels, often reaching -20°C or lower. The landscape becomes a pristine white canvas, with frozen rivers and snow-laden mountains creating a surreal atmosphere. Many roads close due to heavy snowfall, making access difficult but rewarding for those who brave the journey. This season offers the best chance to spot elusive snow leopards and experience the raw beauty of the Himalayas. Despite harsh conditions, winter showcases Spiti's true rugged charm and the resilient spirit of its inhabitants.
