Hi,

Don't let your bulky rucksack ruin your walk; pack Lightly and trek Smartly.

Here are some tips to pack light for treks -

1) Carry Only the Essentials:

There will always be a few items that you may require while travelling but will be useless while trekking.

You no longer need more than one spare piece of clothing when trekking.

It is still safe to bring only one spare T-shirt or trek pant.

There is no need to bring jeans or formal attire.

Count the days and carry only what you need for these many days.

2) Buy the Lightest Gear Available :

Waterproof and windproof jackets are essential gear to bring on every hike, short or long.

Instead of lugging two different coats for wind and water protection, get a single waterproof cum windproof garment.

4) Mirrorless Camera Body:

However, in terms of image quality, DSLR (/SLR) photographs are the greatest, especially when photographing landscapes.

Many hikers struggle with whether or not to bring their high-end DSLR cameras on their climbs.

Mirrorless cameras are technically faster than any normal DSLR because the entire mirror removal procedure is gone, and they can currently record print quality raw photographs at speeds as high as 12 fps.

The battery life of these compact camera bodies is one disadvantage.

The smaller the volume of the camera body, the smaller the size of the batteries.

5) Carry a Kindle Instead of Books

However, the weight of your books prevents you from carrying any books on your journey.

All of these are true worries, but you could carry a kindle instead.

Kindles are digital e-book readers sold by Amazon.

They have a long battery life and can withstand a week of heavy reading in cold temperatures.

When a dead battery is completely depleted, it takes around four hours to recharge.

After installing the Kindle app, you can also read eBooks on your smartphone or tablet. However, reading on a kindle is a far more pleasant experience for your eyes.
