No, putting up camps by unauthorized parties is banned in Triund and no one who is not registered by eco tourism can pitch up the camps. However,you will get many campsites that offer camping in budget on the top of Triund but it is banned for now by the order of High court for few days unless any further order comes out.

5 years agoYes, it is absolutely safe unless and until you are attentive. Try thinking of Sri lanka as an Indian city and you will be good to go. People are welcoming but you need to behave and dress up properly at some places because people are little conservative in some regions..
