Everest Base Camp Trek, Nepal – My Observation
Mount Everest Base Camp is known as one of the top 5 treks in the world. Wanna Know Why??
It’s a short flight of 40-45 minutes in a chopper from Kathmandu to Lukla. Lukla is known to have the most dangerous airport as it has a runaway of 150m only. This beautiful journey starts at Lukla.
lukla to Everest base camp you get to experience a lot of things, things that will make you believe that paradise exists on eath itself. The Himalayas are soo vast that it is hard to describe what you witness, huge mountains, forestry, fast flowing rivers and hundreds of large and small footbridges.
The adrenaline rush you feel while crossing a bridge. You feel a sense of satisfaction while seeing Mount Lothse, Mount Amadablam and lots of other high peaks.
At such height, you can see the clouds moving faster than a plane and you realize how fast time ticks away and life is too short to worry about things and having dal bhat which also known as Nepali thali in such chilling conditions is literally a blessing.
Here you will experience things that we don’t experience in normal day to day life like the chopper flying down to you, different kinds of birds and animals in Sagarmatha National Park, a traffic jam where the traffic is Yaks and horses.
You will have the serene experience of walking through a meadow and also walking down a narrow lane where the visibility is almost zero.
All these things make the trek worth the altitude sickness, the headache that is experienced while trekking.
You can also see lots of choppers working on rescue missions.
At this point, something gives you immense happiness.
This is the overwhelming happiness of reaching Everest Base camp after the trek of 6-8 days and shouting there that you did it.
The happiness of watching children who are going to school by moving from one hill to another.
The happiness of watching the smile on their cute faces.
The happiness of crossing highest bridge of Everest region
The happiness of watching the Panoramic view of Mount Everest from Kala Pather
The happiness of clicking pictures and treasuring these memories for a lifetime.
The happiness of getting the boarding pass of your flight back to Kathmandu after a long wait.
While having all these beautiful and rare experiences people forget that Everest is not just for humans…
There are many animals please don’t poke them while trekking, don’t through the trash anywhere on the way, Be a responsible traveler.
There are some reason why Everest is expensive as well,
You have to pay more for Food, drinking water, mobile charging and hot water for shower and many more things as compared to other places .this is because of the efforts were taken by the porters, who carry a lot of weight on their shoulders and provide us with all these facilities and the local citizens work hard for make shelter for us.
I know it’s expensive but it is totally worth it.
So go out there climb every mountain, collect some Unforgettable memories…Because Everest Region will make you believe that paradise exists on earth itself.
