Backpacking To Shimla himachal pradesh from delhi

Hello Friends, I am Backpacker Jony aka Jony Jindal- A solo traveler, who loves to travel in low budget and explore more as I can…

I started my journey from Delhi. I went Kalka from Delhi by train - “Kalka Mail Express”. And went Shimla from Kalka by Haryana Roadways Bus. It’s a budget journey so I spent a little in transportation. I will tell you about the budget in last of this article with details. I did my breakfast in between the journey. It took approx. a night to reach Shimla from New Delhi by the way I went.

After reaching Shimla, I had two options to go Mall Road, Cab or Auto. But I thought, what a local citizen of Shimla do if he is in my situation and I got the way. I ask it to a shopkeeper of bus stand and I went to mall road by a city bus. I save much money by going there on a city bus. After reaching the mall road, I start wandering there and trek to the upside as the road go. I don’t pay for the lift to go upper side because I love to trekking and walking instead of lift’s comfort. I did a little shopping there because all the products are costly in hill station as always. Now I move towards Christ Church. Its an old church with a very beautiful view. I spent 2 hours in mall road and church and then I move towards the downside. I watch a very old house on the walking way and this view of this old broken house really looks like a scenery. I took my lunch there.

I clicked a lot of photos there of the station and the toy train. I picked some food for my way and I sit in my reserved seat. And the journey stats…

Backpacking To Shimla himachal pradesh from delhiIt took 5-6 hours to reach Kalka from Shimla in a toy train where a bus or car takes only 2-3 hours for this. But the journey of Toy Train is always more enjoyable than any others. Because there are lots of views, sceneries, caves, stations, bridges we watched while traveling on this train.   There are many stops on this train in stations- Jutog, Kandaghat, Solan etc. These trains are very different from normal trains. I make many videos in this beautiful way. After 6 hours, finally its reach to its final destination - Kalka.

It’s 9 O’clock in the night and I had 3 hours for my next train to New Delhi. So I searched on Google about- “Best Places to Explore in Kalka Haryana” and I start my wandering in Kalka. There is a famous temple of Kali Mata is situated in Kalka. I went there and came back to Kalka railway station within 2 hours. Now Its time to say bye to Himachal Pradesh and Haryana and move towards Delhi. So I slept on my reservation seat and reached Delhi on next Morning. And my daily life schedule has started…

In This Trip, I spent very less budget as I Can. I spent-

Train Reservation Fair-
