How to Reach Munnar Alleppey

By Air: Fly to Cochin International Airport, the nearest airport to both Munnar and Alleppey. From Cochin, take a taxi or bus to Munnar (130 km, 4-5 hours). After your Munnar visit, travel to Alleppey (175 km, 5-6 hours) by taxi or bus.

By Train: The nearest major railway station to Munnar is Aluva or Ernakulam Junction (Kochi). From there, take a bus or taxi to Munnar. After Munnar, take a train to Alleppey station (Alappuzha) from Ernakulam, then a short local transport to your accommodation.

By Bus: KSRTC and private operators run buses from major cities to Munnar. From Munnar, take a bus to Alleppey. While economical, this option may be less comfortable and take longer due to multiple stops and transfers.

Best Time to Visit Munnar Alleppey

Winter (December to February): Ideal for both destinations. Munnar experiences cool temperatures (10°C to 20°C) with clear skies, perfect for outdoor activities. Alleppey has pleasant weather, ideal for houseboat cruises and beach visits. Peak tourist season with higher prices.

Summer (March to May): Munnar remains relatively cool (15°C to 25°C), good for trekking and sightseeing. Alleppey gets hot and humid, but water-based activities can be enjoyable. Lower tourist crowds and better prices in Alleppey.

  • On arrival at Kochi Airport/Station, you’ll be picked-up in our vehicle and transfer to Munnar.
  • Enroute Munnar, take a halt to appreciate the scenic Valara Waterfall, Cheeyappara Waterfalls and others.
  • Munnar is a magnificent hill station in the Western Ghats of Kerala. Anamudi, the highest peak in South India (8883 ft.) is nearby Munnar.
  • By noon we’ll reach Munnar, check-in to our hotel and have some leisure. In the evening, feel free to stroll around.
  • Overnight stay in a hotel in a Munnar.

  • Accommodation on Sharing Basis: 2 nights in Munnar, 1 night in Alleppey.
