By Train: Udaipur City Railway Station is well-connected to major cities across India. Luxury trains like Palace on Wheels and Royal Rajasthan on Wheels also stop here. The station is centrally located, making it easy to reach hotels and tourist spots.
By Road: Udaipur has excellent road connectivity. Regular buses, both government and private, operate from nearby cities. For a more comfortable journey, consider hiring a taxi or self-drive car from cities like Jaipur, Ahmedabad, or Mumbai.
Winter (October to March): This is considered the peak tourist season. Daytime temperatures are pleasant, ranging from 20-28°C (68-82°F). Nights can be cool, dropping to 5-10°C (41-50°F). The weather is ideal for sightseeing and outdoor activities.
Summer (April to June): Temperatures can soar to 40°C (104°F) or higher. While it's less crowded and hotel rates are lower, the heat can be intense for outdoor exploration. Early mornings and evenings are more comfortable for activities.
Monsoon (July to September): Rainfall brings relief from the summer heat. The landscape turns lush green, offering beautiful scenery. However, humidity increases and some outdoor activities may be limited. Hotel rates are often at their lowest during this period.
