1. Srinagar: The perception of Srinagar as the nucleus of Kashmir browns feathers as so well known through gardens, lakes, and houseboats is not a reaching-the-earth experience anymore and it is rather an aesthetic drone's paradise. Dal Lake, which serves as a floating market inhabited by sellers and is the place where everyone goes for a shikara (blue bellied boat ride), is the highest virtue of this town. Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh are two of the Mughal Gardens being part of the world of natural Persian wonder with terraces, fountains, and carpets of flowers that they let the tourists have a glimpse of. There is a white structure, obviously made of marble, with a line green covering over some of it, on Hazratbal Shrine.
2. Gulmarg: Gulmarg, a sort of concave geographical area covered by high mountains, is a place that enjoys all year regardless if it is winter or summer. At 2,650 m, the golf course is a beautiful place to play, you are even playing at the top of the world. Also, taking the Gulmarg Gondola, the longest and highest in India is worthwhile, you will have plenty to discuss indeed. Gulmarg Trip offers a great opportunity to have plenty of floral odors and colors to look at when you arrive at the bay, the sky will be quite clear most likely and you can trek or go for a horseback ride anywhere there.
3. Pahalgam: By developing the areas around the Lidder River and the Sheshnag Lake, Pahalgam can offer quite a variety of landscapes. Betaab Valley is heaven and has gone down to earth near the forest and mountains with my favorite kind of event including the starset. A river of water rushes through it thus we all must pass through and then we see everything like it is on a Spring Day. Aru Valley, fifteen miles from Pahalgam, is the pack-mule-training, for the hikes, you will go to the glaciers of Kolahoi and Tarsar.
4. Sonamarg: Also known as the "Gateway to Ladakh," Sonamarg is surrounded by glaciers and snow-capped mountains. Thajiwas Glacier, the only one in the world to offer pony rides, is a major attraction where people can experience new things like summer glacier sledding. This area is abundant with alpine flowers and is the starting point for treks to several high-altitude lakes, such as Krishansar and Vishansar.
5. Yusmarg: Yusmarg, incidentally, which is better known to the locals than to the visitors, is a place that gives one a time opportunity to have tranquility when the nature is still unspoiled. The place is well-known for its trout and the Doodh Ganga River, which begins at a glacier nearby, is the main body of water. Prime Nilnag Lake, the area's picturesque pine trees, make it an ideal spot for relaxing and shorter treks. Many locals enjoy coming here to picnic by the river during the summers.
6. Dachigam National Park: This place, which extends over 141 square kilometers, is very important in the conservation of the Hangul or Kashmir Deer. It is segmented into two regions which consist of Upper and Lower Dachigam. The park also has these species; black and brown bears, leopards, and many bird species. They are categorized under a wild classification list.
7. Wular Lake: This is a huge body of water that is vital to the region's geography. It serves as an important source of fish and a great environment for migratory waterbirds. The lake has a different character in different seasons; sometimes, it contracts to show islets.
8. Gurez Valley: This is not a place where people can go very often since it is a wild and uninhabited area. The inhabitants of the Dard-Shin ethnic group disclose an unconventional way of life. The Kishanganga River runs through the valley, which adds more beauty to it. The mountain that is named after the poetess Habba Khatoon is the most prominent in the picture of the landscape.
9. Kokernag: Famed for its eye-catching gardens and water sources, the name of the town is derived from the Kashmiri words 'water' and 'serpent', that jointly refer to a shape of the spring as that of a serpent. The Botanical Gardens at Kokernag are home to the second-largest collection of plants in Asia, with the trout fishing farm being a popular destination for anglers.
10. Sinthan Top: The high passes in this part of Sinthan offer panoramic views of the beautiful ranges. It is a bit similar to Gulmarg and Pahalgam as it is beautiful, but it has fewer people. The road to the top is narrow and winding so it sets a journey of its own.
By Air- The most fastest and convenient way to reach Kashmir is Via direct flights. There is only one International Airport in Srinagar, connected to almost all major cities of India. Travelers can opt for direct flights operating from any near and major city that is interlinked with Srinagar. From the airport you can book a cab or many taxi services are available too that will help you in reaching Kashmir Valley easily.
By Rail- If travelers love traveling via train, then they can opt for a train which connects with Jammu Tawi Railway Station, as Kashmir Valley does not have rail connectivity, Travelers need to arrive in Jammu first. From there they can travel via bus or taxis to Kashmir Valley, which is just 300 kms away from Jammu.
By Road- Kashmir is truly a heaven on earth, a road trip to Kashmir is one of the great options for travelers desiring to experience the exquisite beauty of Kashmir Valley. The route to Kashmir is pristine with few inclines and bends.Travelers can opt for traveling via bus or they can self drive too.
Kashmir offers year-round appeal, but the best time to visit depends on your preferences. Spring (April-May) dazzles with blooming flowers and mild weather, perfect for sightseeing. Summer (June-August) brings lush landscapes ideal for trekking and water activities. Autumn (September-October) offers stunning foliage and clear skies, great for photography. Winter (November-February) transforms Kashmir into a snowy wonderland, ideal for skiing in Gulmarg. Generally, April to October is considered the peak tourist season, balancing pleasant weather with accessibility to most attractions and activities.
