Delhi is the capital of India. Delhi has full of rich history and culture. You can find all types of the culture of every state of India in Delhi. Delhi has many places to visit and explore, many things to do and many types of tasty foods to eat. Yes, Of course, you can explore Delhi in a single day, not completely but almost 50-60%. Let’s start our journey to explore Delhi- You will get the answers to all these 4 questions in just one article. So let’s Start exploring New Delhi with Morning Time- Let’s start our trip with the freshness of morning by going the heritage and holy places of Old Delhi or you can say Chandni Chowk Area also. You can explore 4-5 places in just a single visit to Chandni Chowk. You can reach Chandni Chowk by bus, auto or by metro (Chandni Chowk Metro Station). Start your morning by taking breakfast at Prantha Wali Gali of Chandi Chowk. This is a famous lane of Dhabas or Restaurants in Old Delhi. This is not so expensive and you will find delicious food here. After breakfast, you can explore the street market of Chandni Chowk. There is huge rush in this area, you will find, manage it and explore as much u can. Because you will be in the very famous market of India at that time. Now Move towards our next destination- In Hindi, Red Fort is called “Lal Quila”. This is same building you saw the note of Rs 500 of Indian currency. This is one of the famous historical places of India. In this Fort, the Diwan-i-aam and Diwan-i-khaas take you back in time. If you take the audio tour here, you are in for a great history lesson that will blow your mind. History lovers must visit here. The Timing of Red Fort is from sunrise to sunset and the entry tickets of this amazing historical places are Rs 30 for Indians tourists and Rs 500 for Foreigners. You can easily reach here by walking from Chandni Chowk. After Exploring the Red Fort, let’s move towards to our Next Destination- It is also situated in Chandi Chowk area and must visit place of Delhi. This is the famous holy place of Sikh. The Guru Granth Sahib covered with a big red tunic cloth and heaps of garlands is kept under a bronze canopy in the middle of the room. This historical Gurudwara have many rooms for a stay in it. You can stay here also with pay a very less amount and eat free food (Langer). One can also find the banyan tree where the noble Guru was martyred. Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib opens 24*7. This is located near the Red Fort so you can easily reach here by walking. So spend some time here and start the journey by moving towards our next destination. Jama Masjid also a great and must visit place of Delhi. Exploring Old Delhi is the best idea if you want to explore Delhi in one day. Jama Masjid is located walking distance from the Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib. This is the biggest Masjid of Delhi and you will find heavy rush there all time. There is 2 pillar of Jama Masjid, you can get entry to one pillar and enjoy the view of old Delhi. The entry ticket of the pillar is Rs 30. Once you get the entry in this pillar by the narrow stairs, you can see the view of Chandni Chowk and Red Fort from the top. I know, you will love this moment. After the visit of Jama Masjid, Take lunch at the market near Jama Masjid. You find lots of options there to eat yummy food. If you are Vegetarian, you can eat veg biryani, Pulaav, Dosa, Idly and much more or if you are a non-vegetarian, you can eat Chicken Biryani, Matan Biryani and much more there. There are many restaurants near the Jama Masjid. After lunch, and after explored the four major places to visit in Delhi. Let’s continue our journey by going Humayun Tomb- Humayun Tomb is situated in east Delhi. You can reach there by metro from Jama Masjid Metro Station to Jangpura Metro Station and the Humayun Tomb is within walking distance from Metro Station. The entry ticket of Humayun Tomb is Rs 30 for Indian and Rs 500 for foreigners. This is a historical building, where you can spend your noon by clicking the picture, know about this place and much more. The Humayun’s tomb is the starting point of the Mughal architecture in India. This style is a delightful amalgamation of the Persian, Turkish and Indian architectural influences. It's like Taj Mahal of Delhi. On your one day trip to Delhi, I prefer you to must visit Humayun Tomb. Qutub Minar is situated in south Delhi. You can easily reach there by Qutub Minar metro station. You can spend quality time there in evening. Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is the highest stone tower in India. The construction of the Qutub Minar was started by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak in 1199 and was finished by his successor and son-in-law, Iltutmish. A visit of Qutub Minar in evening time make your evening more amazing. After the visit of Qutub Minar, Let’s come back to Centre Delhi and visit Connaught Place and India Gate to enjoy the nightlife of Delhi. If you want to enjoy the nightlife of Delhi then its the best idea to spend time in Connaught Place and India Gate at night. You will find these place completely different from daytime. There are many clubs, bars, restaurants, and showrooms in Connaught place where you can eat dinner, take a drink or do shopping and much more. Connaught Place is located in the center of New Delhi so you can reach here easily. The nearest metro station is Rajiv Chowk. In India Gate, you will find lots of lightning at night tike. Of course, you will find heavy rush there. Spending time in the night at India Gate will make your trip better and memorable. You can reach India Gate by Delhi metro.
