In these 4 days of SOS Meet-up, we stayed in the Nomads Hostel which is the best hostel in the city Amritsar. I enjoyed my first hostel stay here. The rooms were very good and air-conditioned. We enjoy table tennis game in the hostel. Last day, we did pool party in the swimming pool of hostel. The stay was really good and memorable. Amritsar is famous for its food and culture. Well, we explored both with the city on pedals. City on pedals is a company which provides us city bicycle tour where you explore the Amritsari food, culture and old heritage sites. It was an amazing experience of riding the bicycle on the roads of Amritsar. We tasted around 15 different kinds of food and drinks in our cycle tour of 3 hours with the city on pedals. I visited Amritsar before as well but the experience I get this time was unforgettable. The owner of the company “City on Pedals” - Mr. Rishab sir, they also come with us and ride the cycle with us which was really awesome. If you are planning to visit Amritsar anytime in the year, I strongly prefer you to try Bicycle tour by “City on Pedals”, I am sure it will make your trip unforgettable. After two days of sightseeing and doing lots of fun, on our last day of this SOS Meet-up, we went to the Cafe Chokolade for TravelX Talk. We tried tasty foods as well as attend TravelX Talk. I also spoke in TravelX Talk about the Topic- “How to Travel Freely in India?” It was really an amazing experience to meet and talked with the citizens of Amritsar who love travel. All the SOS experts spoke very well and I got lots of knowledge about traveling, photography, filmmaking and much more. There were some press reporters also who took an interview of us and print it in the famous newspapers of India - Dainik Bhaskar, The Tribune etc. This was a trip where we enjoyed and learned lots of things both together. Golden Temple Jaliyaan Wala Bagh Maharaja Ranjit Singh Fort Attari- Wagah Border And many more places… Also, Read- Best Places to Explore in Amritsar Other Than Golden Temple This was really an unforgettable trip for me. I wish that they invite me to another meet-up also. At the moment of saying bye to all. We all were feeling emotional. We were behaving like, we will never meet again or we were friends from the school time. In these 4 days, we enjoyed a lot and make friends for the lifetime. I wrote a poem on this trip after getting emotional, Attaching down, you can check the video of Glimpse of Amritsar Meet-up, I tried to show by this poem.SOS Meet-up Amritsar - TravelX Talk 2018 - My Experience As a Skilled Traveller
On 13th April 2018, A meet-up organized by Stayonskill where I got chance to attend as a travel expert. They Invited 10 Skilled travelers on that meet-up from all over India. They organized this meet-up in the heart of Punjab- Amritsar. Amritsar is famous for its Golden Temple, Attari- Wagah Border and Punjabi culture. This meet-up was held on the festival Vaisakhi which is the very famous festival of Punjab. It was an amazing experience to went there and meet other skilled travelers. So in this article, I am sharing my experience as a speaker of TravelX Talk, and attendee of #SOSMeetup Amritsar.About StayonSkill-
StayonSkill is a company which provides us free stay in return for your skill as its name. For example - If you are good at photography and you want to travel Mumbai and you don’t want to spend much money on your stay, so you can book your stay by stayonskill. They provide you the free stay in any local’s home for 3 to 5 days whatever you want and in return, you need to teach some photography lessons to the host (1 or 2 hours in a day). For booking, you just need to pay the registration fee to stayonskill which is totally worth. During your stay, the host provides you complimentary breakfast every day. According to me, it is a new trend of backpacking where you are staying with locals, learning about local culture, tasting the homemade local food, making new friends in return of just sharing your skill what you already have.Let’s Talk About Meet-up -
