Rishikesh, located 273 kilometres from the valley, is well-connected to Govindghat by motorable roads. You can also plan to travel by car from Govindghat to Joshimath (depending on your timetable). Joshimath is around an hour away from Govindghat.

The trip from Rishikesh to Govindghat takes approximately 9-10 hours. The drive from Rishikesh to Valley of Flowers is breathtaking. The ideal season to travel this place is from mid-July to the last week of August. The flowers are in full bloom during this time, and you can see the valley's scenic beauty at its best.
