Located in the western most part of India, Gujarat houses some architectural marvels and is famous for its rich heritage and vibrant culture. Gujarat derived its name from the Sanskrit word "Gurjardesa'' which means “The land of Gurjaras'', who ruled Gujarat in the 8th and 9th Centuries. Gujarat is bounded by Rajasthan on the North, Maharashtra on the South, the Arabian Sea on the South-West, Madhya Pradesh on the East. 


Gujarat has the longest coastline in India of about 1290 km. The state is renowned for its ancient temples, virgin beaches, breathtaking structures, wildlife sanctuaries, and resorts. 

Gujarat houses the World's largest statue, the Statue of Unity at 597 feet. There are many things that Gujarat prides itself on. One amongst them is the Asiatic lion. The state has 4 National Parks and 21 Wildlife Sanctuaries making it a perfect destination for a wildlife gateway in India.


Gujarat offers splendid views of scenic beauty starting from the Great Rann of Kutch to the  Satpura hills. The state a, historic capitals, ancient cave paintings, Beaches, Wildlife Sanctuaries, hill resorts, and handicrafts. This coastal state also consists of religious monuments which allure tourists with its history and architecture. The state houses the famous Somnath Temple which is among the twelve Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva and is a must explore the place in Gujarat.  


Gujarat has five regions North Gujarat, Central Gujarat, South Gujarat, Kathiawad, and Kachchh each bring their own flavor to Gujarati cuisine. Gujarati meal consists of kadi, sabzi, dal, roti and rice. The famous Gujarati cuisine consists of dhokla, samosa, pathra, farsan, fafda etc. Gujarati meals are incomplete with sweet dishes and the famous dishes being jalebi, doodh pak, mohanthal, etc. One must definitely experience the colorful fairs and festivals of Gujarat while visiting the state. The famous being the Navratri Festival, Rann Utsav and Dang Darbar Fair.
