A backpacking trip to Parvati Valley will remain incomplete without spending a night in this Himalayan hamlet widely popular among smokers. Kasol gives easy access to some naturally occurring herbs that are purer and affordable too. Nestled along the roaring Parvati River, this hippie paradise in Himachal Pradesh is a great option to escape the monotony of urban life and soak in the good vibes amidst majestic Himalayas.

From hiking to ancient villages, interacting with locals to chilling and treating yourself with delicious falafel in local cafes, Kasol is truly a traveller’s delight in the lap of Himalayas.

Lies at the extreme end of Parvati Valley, trek to Kheerganga is one of the most loved trekking trails near Kasol. Positioned at an altitude of 13,000 ft, Kheerganga is a holy place with a hot water spring - a kund blessed by the holiness of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The trekking route from Barshaini to Kheerganga is decorated with dense forests, soul-soothing waterfalls, rustic villages and gorgeous Himalayan vistas; therefore making this destination a hit for trek lovers. So, put on your backpack and head out for camping at Kheerganga in Parvati Valley. 

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Journey Begins

    Assemble at boarding point in Delhi - RK Ashram Metro Station or Majnu Ka Tilla. 

    Start an overnight journey to Kasol and socialize with your co-travellers.

  • Day 2

    Kasol Chill Scenes & Hippie Vibes

    After arriving in Kasol, check in to our hotel/campsite, freshen-up, regroup for a much-needed breakfast and have some leisure.

    Post refreshment, we will head out to explore the streets of Kasol, visit Chalal bridge and chill along Parvati riverside.

    Soak in the hippie vibes of Kasol, go for cafe hopping and treat your stomach with mouth-watering local dishes.

    In the evening, enjoy a warm bonfire with good music and storytelling sessions under a million stars.

    Savour home-style cooked dinner and overnight stay in a hotel/camps.

  • Day 3

    Trek to Kheerganga

    Wake up early, take breakfast, drive to Barshaini Dam and begin your trek to Kheerganga.

    The trail passes through dense forest   cover and beautiful Himachali villages.

    After reaching Kheerganga, check-in to our campsite, get freshen-up and have some leisure.

    Take a holy dip in Kheerganga hot springs.

    Group discussions/games/Bonfire in the evening time.

    Dinner and overnight camping at Kheerganga.

  • Day 4

    Visit Gurudwara Manikaran Sahib 

    Wake up early to enjoy the mesmerising sunrise view of Pir Panjal range from Kheerganga.

    Post breakfast, begin your trek down to Barshaini Dam.

    Visit the Gurudwara Manikaran Sahib on the way to Kasol.

    In the evening, start-off your journey to Delhi from Kasol and reach around 7 am (Tentative) in the next morning.

  • Transportation from Delhi to Delhi: AC Semi-Sleeper Volvo bus/Tempo Traveler/Cab.
  • Accommodation on sharing basis: hotel/camps (Kasol), Camps (Kheerganga).
  • Experienced and cool trip leader/trek guide.
  • Bonfire (if weather permits), activities.
  • Meals: Dinner (2), Breakfast (2).
  • Driver allowances, toll taxes, parking, state taxes.

Exclusions

  • Any extra meals apart from the ones mentioned under inclusions.
  • Travel Insurance, items of a personal nature like porterage, tips, laundry etc.
  • Any entry fees, extra expenses for optional activities or tickets, unless quoted in Inclusions.
  • Any other costing involved due to circumstances like natural calamity, weather conditions, riots, roadblocks, landslides or any other forced circumstances which are out of our control.
  • GST (5%) is applicable extra.
  • Anything which is not mentioned in the above inclusions.
