Known as the ‘land of fairytales’, Kinnaur in Himachal is decorated with majestic mountains, meandering rivers, a blend of Indo-Tibetan culture and apple orchards. Kinnaur is a paradise for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. Located at a dizzying height of nearly 6,000 meters above sea level, the valleys of Kinnaur is home to various temples, Buddhist monasteries and beautiful villages with each village having its own presiding deity.

Nestled close to Indo-Tibetan border, Chitkul is the last inhabited Indian village with breathtaking views of Baspa Valley. Away from the urban madness, the journey to Chitkul is altogether a different experience in itself. The locals here are loving and extremely hospitable towards the travelers. Adorned with rich flora & fauna, Kalpa is a tiny hamlet in Kinnaur situated in the lap of the mighty Kinnaur Kailash range. Home to Independent India’s first voter, beautiful monasteries & temples, and Tibetan food etc, Kalpa has it all to give you lifetime memories.

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Journey Begins

    Assemble at the boarding point in Delhi - RK Ashram Metro Station/Majnu Ka Tila.

    Start an overnight journey to Shimla and socialize with your co-travellers.

  • Day 2

    Narkanda & Hatu Peak / Sarahan & Bhimakali Temple

    After arriving in Shimla, we will take a halt for breakfast and soak in the much-needed #mountainvibes. Post breakfast, we will drive ahead to reach our relaxing abode in Narkanda.

    After arriving in Narkanda, check in to our comfy hotel, freshen-up and have some leisure. Regroup and head out for a quick hike to Hatu Peak, treat yourself with a gorgeous sunset view over the Himalayas.

    In the evening, return back to your comfy abode, savour home-style cooked dinner and overnight stay in a homestay/hotel.

    OR

    After arriving in Shimla, we will take a halt near Theog or Narkanda for breakfast and soak in the much-needed #mountainvibes. Post breakfast, we will drive ahead to reach the last Indian village before Indo-Tibetan border.

    After arriving in Sarahan, check in to our cozy homestay/hotel, freshen-up and have some leisure.

    Quickly, we will head out to seek blessings at the sacred Bhimakali Temple - the local deity of Sarahan village. Feel free to take a stroll around this sleepy village also known as ‘Gateway to Kinnaur’.

    In the evening, return back to your comfy abode, savour home-style cooked dinner and overnight stay in a homestay/hotel.

  • Day 3

    India’s Last Village : Chitkul

    Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast, we will drive ahead from Sarahan to reach the last Indian village before Indo-Tibetan border.

    After arriving in Chitkul, take a stroll around the village and visit Mathi Temple dedicated to the Goddess of local people of Kinnaur. Treat your stomach with a satisfying plate of steamy momos or rajma chawal at ‘Hindustan Ka Akhri Dhaba’. What can be more magical than relaxing near to the pristine Baspa River? A perfect location in the lap of majestic Himalayas to disconnect from the urban madness and connect with nature.

    Post Chitkul village exploration, check in to our cozy homestay/hotel, freshen-up and have some leisure. 

    In the evening, enjoy a warm bonfire, savour home-style cooked dinner and overnight stay in a homestay/hotel.

  • Day 4

    Kalpa & Kinnaur Kailash Views

    Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast, bid adieu to Chitkul and the mighty Sangla Valley and drive towards Kalpa.

    After arriving in Kalpa, visit the famous Roghi point and treat your eyes with the mind blowing view of the holy Kinnaur Kailash. Take a stroll in the beautiful Kalpa village, visit Hu-Ba-Lan-Kar Monastery and Chandika Devi Fort.

    In the evening, feel free to explore and sip a cup of hot coffee with your clan in Reckong Peo’s local market. Don’t miss out on a plate of hot momos and delicious thukpas.

    Check in to our cozy hotel, freshen-up and have some leisure. Savour home-style cooked dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.

  • Day 5

    Trip Ends

    Wake up to a stunning view of Kinnaur Kailash range from your homely abode and post breakfast, drive from Kalpa to Shimla.

    Reach Shimla in the evening and start-off your return journey to Delhi and reach Delhi the next day early morning.

  • Transportation: Delhi to Shimla and back (AC Semi-Sleeper Volvo/Bharatbenz) and Force Traveler at all other times.
  • Accommodation on Sharing Basis: Hotel (Narkanda/Sarahan) Homestay (Sangla/Chitkul) and Hotel (Kalpa).
  • Experienced and cool trip leader.
  • Bonfire (if weather permits), explorations and activities.
  • Meals: Dinner (3), Breakfast (3).
  • Driver allowances, toll taxes, parking, state taxes.

Exclusions

  • Any extra meals apart from the ones mentioned under inclusions.
  • Travel Insurance, items of a personal nature like porterage, tips, laundry etc.
  • Any entry fees, extra expenses for optional activities or tickets, unless quoted in Inclusions.
  • Any other costing involved due to circumstances like natural calamity, weather conditions, riots, roadblocks, landslides or any other forced circumstances which are out of our control.
  • GST (5%) is applicable extra.
  • Anything which is not mentioned in the above inclusions.

    Mandatory requirements :- 1️⃣ As per the current guidelines, Covid negative report not prior than 72 hours on your arrival in Himachal 2️⃣ E pass to enter Himachal. ( We will apply for the Epass on your behalf) Please Note :- 1️⃣ There is a possibility of not being to visit the local temples, and monasteries due to the Covid situation in the country 2️⃣ Any change in the itinerary or any other change in the trip will be at discretion of the guidelines issued by the government which may or may not change from time to time.
