Description

Bhrigu Lake is a high elevation holy lake arranged at a height of 4300 meters(14100 ft.)
in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. The lake is situated in the shape of oval-
formed and lies close to the Rohtang pass. The lake got its name from one of the seven
sage named "Bhrigu"

As indicated by local people, the sage Bhrigu used to ruminate close to the lake and
that is the reason the lake got full of holiness. The trek starts from a point called
Chaudda Morh, which is around 20 km from Manali. The trek goes through virgin
backwoods, enormous knolls, mountain edges and then lastly any individual can find a
good pace lake.

Short Itinerary-
Day 1: Manali – Gulaba - Raulikholi (6 km uphill)
Day 2: Raulikholi – Brighu Lake – Raulikholi (10 KM)
Day 3: Raulikholi – Gulaba – Manali ( 6 km downhill )

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Your amazing trip as trekking to Bhrigu Lake will start from Manali in the morning. You'll cover your journey from Manali to Gulaba by a tempo traveler or cab. It's a short drive till Gulaba, which is located on the Rohtang-Manali highway. From Gulaba, you'll begin with your thrilling trek towards your first campsite named Raulikholi. Raulikholi is situated at the base of the dome peak of Bhrigu. Raulikholi campsite is famous for its lush greenery and the meadows. Whenever you'll come here you' see the different landscapes and I think that's the beauty of India. And in winters these meadows are used for skiing as it becomes skiing slopes.

    The trek will begin through the dense pine forest which leads to the beautiful meadows of Raulikholi. From the campsite of Raulikholi, you can easily see the panoramic view of Pir Panjal Ranges of middle Himalayas, Hanuman Tibba, Mt. Friendship peak, Shetidar and other mountains full of snow. We set up our dome camps after reaching Raulikholi, chill and relax here for the night. Have overnight dinner and take rest in your dome camps. You can gaze stars too in the mid-night if you want.


  • Day 2

    Wake up early in the morning and witness an elegant sunrise over the snowcapped peaks. Have breakfast in our campsite Raulikholi and then leave for Bhrigu Lake. The initial stretch of the trek to Bhrigu Lake is not so steep, but except the initial stretch, all the way is steep. You'll be trekking over a mountain ridge while trekking to Bhrigu Lake from Raulikholi. While trekking you'll get to see some amazing views of Manali valley. After witnessing the lake, you can take pictures with beautiful views and have your packed lunch there. Later, we'll begin our downhill trek to Raulikholi. Raulikholi will be our campsite, where you can enjoy the sunset after reaching there. Have dinner and overnight stay in your camps.

  • Day 3

    Early morning have breakfast in Raulikholi, begin your downhill trek which is 6km trek. This day is going to be your last trek day. Start your trek from Raulikholi to Gulaba with the same route, you chose while ascending. Downhill trek is easy until or unless it's rainy season. Because in the rainy season, the downhill trek becomes slippery. Reach Gulaba by afternoon and then take a short drive from Gulaba to Manali. An overnight journey from Manali to Delhi in Volvo Bus. And here your trip ends but the memories are going to be the last forever in your heart.

  • Any extra meals apart from the ones mentioned under inclusions.

  • Travel Insurance, items of personal nature like porterage, tips, laundry etc.

  • Any entry fees, extra expenses for optional activities or tickets, unless quoted in Inclusions.

  • Any other costing involved due to circumstances like natural calamity, weather conditions, riots, roadblocks, landslides or any other forced circumstances which are out of our control.

  • GST (5%) is applicable extra.

  • Anything which is not mentioned in the above inclusions.
