The Kedarnath Temple lies amidst the magnificent snow-capped Garhwal Himalayan ranges and is visited by thousands of tourists every year. The temple was built over a thousand years ago by massive stone slabs over a large rectangular platform. The present temple was built by Adi Shankaracharya.
