June 1st, 2019, Me and 2 of My Friends planned to do Bhrigu Lake Trek. We booked a package through Himachali Trekkers (Host of Go4Explore Community) and started our journey from Delhi.

Reached Manali around 10 Pm after an overnight journey in Volvo Bus which cost us Rs 1250. After breakfast, we started our journey to Gulaba. Gulaba is the starting point of Bhrigu Lake Trek. The weather was sunny when we started our trek but it suddenly turned rainy after the 30 minutes of reaching our base camp. After 15 minutes of rain, it started snowing.

That was totally unbelievable that we are experiencing the snowfall in the month of June. After 1 hours of snowfall, we experienced the mesmerising sunset of Pir Panjal Range.

Took Dinner, packed ourself in a sleeping bag and slept in our dome camps.

Next Morning, we woke up in front of a gorgeous view of high peaks of the Pir Panjal Range like Hanuman Tibba, Deo Tibba, Chehtidhar peak, Friendship Peak Etc.

After breakfast, we started our trek to Bhrigu Lake. Our guide - Mr. Jaipal Thakur briefed us for this trek. It was too windy, I was unable to talk to my camera (Vlog) properly. I covered my body with 3-4 layers and covered my face with a bandana. I was on head (first person of the group on the trail). I was using the Ice-axe as per our guide's guidelines. After 1 hour of trek, we reached Rola Khuli.

Rola Khuli is the main base camp of the Brigu lake, located at the altitude of 12000 feet. This time, it was covered by 3-4 feet snow, so we pitched our tents around 2 kms before Rola Khuli Base Camp.

After crossing the Rola Khuli, the main climbing started. It was tough but not impossible. Luckily, the weather was sunny that day. It was around 4 to 5 feet snow everywhere. After 4 to 5 hours of non-stop trek. Finally we reached the Bhrigu Lake.

Bhrigu lake is located at the altitude of 14006 Feet. This was June and this lake was frozen and snow covered. We were unable to see the lake. Clicked so many pictures and spent a quality time there. Took our lunch at 0 degrees temperature and started our downside trek to Gulaba.

We had 2 options, stay at base camp and trek to Gulaba next day or trek to Gulaba on the same day and stay in Manali. We were tired but chose the 2nd option because we wanted to stay in the room now. I was missing my blanket that time and wanted to take a bath under the hot water shower.

After the trekking of 4 hours, we reached Gulaba where our cab was waiting. At Night, we reached back to Manali. I was tired by body but super energetic by mind. This was really an awesome and unique experience. Really, Bhrigu lake trek is the best trek I have ever done.
